I've just install Tezos with:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:serokell/tezos && sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install tezos-client
sudo apt-get install tezos-node

tezos-node --version: d74e7b6d (2021-01-08 16:06:59 +0100) (8.1)

tezos-node run --rpc-addr 127.0.0.1:8733 --data-dir ~/tezos-edonet:

It's looping on that. I've tried to delete my datadir to restart from scratch. The same problem happens.

Is there something to do to be able to complete bootstrapping ?

Thanks

  • I tried to reproduce your error with the v8.1 Tezos node (under Ubuntu x86_64), compiling from sources, but I didn't encounter this problem. Try to build from sources : tezos.gitlab.io/introduction/… And update your node to v8.1 using : git fetch git checkout v8.1 make build-deps eval $(opam env) make Feb 2, 2021 at 8:34
  • I tried to build from sources via Opam and run this new "tezos-node" binary, the problem is still there. So I've clear my data-dir to start from scratch with the new binary. Bootstrap is running, let's wait ... By th way, I should precise that, on the same computer, I have another tezos-node running on Delphinet. Different data-dir, different RPC ports ... My Delphinet is running well. But I hope it's not a problem to run two "tezos-node" instance at the same time ?

  • It's not a problem if they are running on different ports. Please feel free to show the logs if anything goes wrong Feb 2, 2021 at 12:18
  • The problem is still there. • Did you meet issues while building from sources ? if yes, please share the logs Feb 2, 2021 at 14:54
